What is the meaning of life? The question is rhetorical and the answer, unanswerable. Unanswerable that is, unless you are a group of highly intelligent writers and actors with tendencies to perform under utterly stupid and ridiculous roles. The hilarity of this film is due to Eric Idle (
Rat Race - Der nackte Wahnsinn), Graham Chapman and Terry Jones, who return in their fifth
Monty Python film to discuss the meaning of life. In true Python style, these chaps go about answering the question by employing topics of both an expected and unexpected nature and while it may not shed any more light on the purpose and significance of our own existence, it does provide wildly funny entertainment. If the meaning of life is itself comedy then the Python clan have been successful in their definition.
